SmartXide is not indicated for tattoo removal

The SmartXide Dot laser is a type of fractionated CO2 laser that is indicated for the treatment of photoageing, melasma and acne scars. It works by heating the tissue in micro thermal columns or beams. It does not specifically target a chromophore such as pigment dye such as the Q-switched lasers (Nd:YAG and the Alexandrite) used in laser tattoo removal.
