How Much Does It Cost to Have a Lap Band Filled?

Cost of Lap Band fills

The cost of a lap band fill or better stated "adjustment" depends on how the procedure is financed. Generally a lap band procedure performend under insurance has a global period of 90 days after surgery in which the fills are for free, then the cost of the fills after 90 days depends on the office policy.

Non -insurance lap band procedures also generally have a global period of 90 days and then each fill after 90 days post surgery has a charge which varies from office to office.

Check with your local surgeon and verify the policy for lap band adjustments.

The cost for lap-band fill is included within the 90 days of surgery and the cost for a fill after the 90 days is often covered by your insurance carrier. You should inquire the specifics with your insurance carrier.

The cost to fill the Lap-band is included in the first 90 days during the global period.  Costs after the 90 days varies across the country and you should ask your surgeon.  Most insurance companies will cover the cost of the fills after the 90 days if they covered your original surgery.
