Looking for the Best Way to Correct a Massive Abdominal Diastasis

I have had four kids in five years, all c-sections. I have a massive abdominal diastasis from sternum to belly button. I can fit my whole fist in between my abdominal muscles. After eating, sometimes I feel my intestines poke out as the food works through (I poke them back in)...it's gross. Would a tummy tuck repair a severe diastasis? If not, what type of surgery and surgeon should I be considering? I appreciate any advice, esp from Seattle-area doctors.

Tummy tuck or abdominoplasty is routinely used to repair diastasis in women who have had children

Abdominoplasty or tummy tuck is the procedure for you.  This procedure will repair the diastasis and tighten/smooth the overlying skin.  This is a routine procedure we perform all the time in our practice.  Speak with a board-certified plastic surgeon who performs many abdominoplasty procedures.  Good luck! Would recommend abdominoplasty

Yes, Absolutely! Abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck, is designed to flatten the abdomen by removing excess fat and skin and tightening muscles of the abdominal wall. A scar is made along the lower abdominal skin fold and around the umbilicus. The procedure, which is done in an outpatent surgical setting, takes an hour and one-half. Patients may return to work in 2-4 weeks and resume more strenuous activity in 4-6 weeks. .

A suture in three layers than applying a mesh as an internal girdle is one of the best ways to accomplish this. Seek many in person evaluations to discuss.

A tummy tuck is for the things that occur from pregnancy and which can't be corrected with diet and exercise: muscle diastasis and skin laxity. With your history of C-sections, I see a tummy tuck in your future!
