Lipoma Removal: Q&A

I already went through surgery in which they removed multiple lipomas from arms and thighs. I did not remove all as I was concern of how many scars or incision I will have. Once again I see more and more of them to develop.. I know they have to me removed, as they causing pain... but how much more incision/scard am I going to have? how to can this be prevented?
