Will Constant Nose Massaging Cause Change in Nose Shape?

If a person were to rub, massage, press on, push on and sometimes hit the bridge of their nose, would this cause any change, enlargement, or any other appearance change to the nose?

If not, can you explain scientifically why this wouldn't cause that change? I have been doing this for almost two years, I have had a few nose bleeds, no swelling or bruising.

Now I think that the bones in the bridge of my nose look bigger and the shape has changed. Please prove that I didn't do this as it is causing me a lot of anxiety.

The simple answer is yes. The tip of nose is made up of several small peices of cartliage that together form the shape of your nose. Constant pressure/massaging over time will cause the cartilage peices to shift slighly (depending on the amount of pressure being used) and although the shift may be slight, it still is enough to change the appearance of the nose. Now how do I know this? because I myself had a bad habit of doing this ever since I was a young kid. As a result the left tip of my nose has dropped more than my right and is also pushed out slightly where my nose looks crooked. In addition because the left side has been pushed out, the right tip has also had small shift inwards because the structure has been compromised. I have lived with this all my life and it has actually affected me severely, not in terms of health but in terms of self-confidence and self-esteem. Had I left it alone it would have been perfect (looking back). I'm not saying this because Im conceited but because my nose shape was fine until I started doing this. It has affected me so badly that a lot of times I actually look away from people because I'm so embarrased by how ugly it is. It will actually go from bad to worse if you keep doing it so the best advice I can give is to stop doing it immediately. Once the damage is done it is irreversible except by surgery possibly but even then it will be difficult to get the exact aesthetic of the nose as it once was. Its the worst/saddest/depressing/ thing in the world when I look at old pictures and see how my nose has changed over the years because of my actions. Good luck to you. Hope my answer helps.
