Compression garments after liposuction

No that is not true. If the garment is too tight it can cut off circulation to the hands or feet. What you want is contolled compression over the areas that presumably have been liposuctioned. For example after love handles liposuction you want some compression over the love handles area to collapse the tunnels created by the liposuction cannula.
