How Common or Uncommon is It to Have Fat Necrosis for a Surgical Procedure?

Such as a tummy tuck, breast reconstruction or breast reduction that would require additional surgery to remove the damaged area?

Fat necrosis how common?

Fat necrosis while not very common, does happen. It happens more commonly with tummy tucks, breast reductions and breast reconstructions using autologous tissue. Often it is self-limiting and does not need excision of tissue.
