Is It Common to Pay for Consultations?

It used to be

Before the recession, it was customary to pay for a consultation with a plastic surgeon. My fee was $75 and the patient was given all the time required to full inform them of their request. If the patient scheduled a procedure, this $75 was deducted from the professional fee. In this financial climate, most plastic surgeons are waiving the consultation fee understanding the financial burden many Americans are under.

Consultation charging varies

Hello,Some practices charge for cosmetic consultations and others do not. There is no hard and fast rule here. It is the choice of each business.Best Regards
