How is Lipoma in the Colon Removed?

My doctor said I have a medium sized lipoma in the sigmoid colon. Biopsies were taken with a cold forceps for histology. There was no sign of cancer. What procedures are available and which is best for this type lipoma?

Lipoma of stomach

I would hate to see a question not get answered in this forum but it is better answered by a general surgeon or colorectal surgeon rather than a plastic surgeon.
