Got a Cold 2 Weeks After Rhinoplasty

I had rhinoplasty 2 weeks ago with very little swelling. Now, I have a cold or allergies with a lot of congestion. My nose is now swollen and the bump (which was there previously) is now bigger. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Cold 2 Weeks after Rhinoplasty

It is normal to have nasal congestion and external swelling 2 weeks after rhinoplasty. However, you feel this is getting worse. Therefore, see your surgeon for evaluation and possible treatment.

Cold or Flu after Rhinoplasty

The nose may feel congested after any nasal surgery. This swelling inside the nose generally resolves within a few weeks. However, one may catch a cold or have allergies after rhinoplasty. Speak with your rhinoplasty surgeon for treatment.
