Rosacea from CO2 Laser?

I'm Hispanic, and I have never ever had flushing problems, until after I had CO2 Laser on my cheeks for acne scars. Before the surgery, I ran at least 2 marathons a year, ate spicy foods, and lived in Iraq (where it is extremely hot) for 1 1/2 years, and never flushed. No one in my family has rosacea, either. However, it has been 11 months, and even though my doctor has been treating me with V-beam laser every 3 weeks for the past 6 months, my cheeks are still red and I flush all the time. Is this because of the CO2 Laser?
