Is "cording" following mastectomy with tissue expanders relieved after the exchange surgery with implants?

Thank you for your question and glad to hear that you did have physical therapy after your mastectomy and reconstruction.  Cording can happen after expander or implant placement and it's important for you to return to your physical therapist so the opposite side can be treated.  Given that you have had cording after your first surgery, it is wise to stay in touch with your physical therapist throughout the recovery after your second stage.  Bets of luck. 

If it is MOndor's cords, then this is superficial thrombophlebitis which often improves with warm soaks and anti-inflammatories. Best to be seen by your surgeon.
