Chin Augmentation-sliding Genioplasty Surgery. How Dangerous is It?

Hello to everyone.I am a candidate for sliding genioplasty surgery since my lower jaw is shorter than it should be.I have also posted a photo of mine here and everyone agreed that sliding genioplasty is the solution.Before start talking to my local orthognathic surgeons,I want to post my question here since it is a very good forum with good surgeons as I have seen.My question is the following :How dangerous is this surgery,how risky (percentage of failure) and what are the post surgery problems?
