Cheek Implant Numbness when Smiling

I just had cheek implants about a months ago and every time I smile or open my mouth wide my lip go numb on the upper right side, and that numbness lasts an hour or two. Will this go away or is this a sign that something is wrong? I just want to make sure I am not damaging the nerves every time I smile.

Lip Numbness after Cheek Implants

There is a large sensory nerve that is visualized, avoided, and preserved during cheek implant surgery. Your implant may be moving or contacting this nerve during animation. Althogh not an emergency, call your surgeon in the near future.
