I'm 2 years post op cheek implants, they were screwed in, and placed through the mouth. One side is perfectly OK, feels normal, the other side from the gum up inside the nerve feels weird, the cheek feels tight, and on the outside it has a SLIGHT bruise color, I spoke with my PS, he said it my be scar tissue, it maybe the implant hitting the nerve. He would be willing to go in and see, but says if I "can live with it" he would advise against going in for fear of infection. What should I do?

Altered Feeling after Cheek Implants

Your surgeon is being very honest with you. Revision with exploration of the surgical field, removal of any scar tissue, or repositioning the implant  if there has been rare nerve injury, may or may improve your abnormal sensations. Your decision will depend on how much this bothers you. After two years, it is very unlikely your symptoms will improve.
