How Many CCs is a Typical Cheek Implant?

I have performed many cheek augmentations with filles and Cheek Implants but the implants are not sized by cc's as they are solid, not liquid or gels.  IMHO, there are only a few aesthetically ideal shapes and sizes of cheek implants.

Cheek Implant Size for Flat Cheeks

+1

Hi  james15,

Cheek implant surgery is a great option to enhance the cheeks. Many plastic surgeons use cheek implants made of silicone, which are placed via small incisions inside the mouth. Silicone implants are typically the only method for permanent cheek augmentation, as the other office injectable fillers such as Radiesse, Sculptra, etc. are temporary.

Cheek implants generally come in sizes such as small, medium, and large. Cheek implants, unlike breast implants, are not measured by CC or volume. 1.5cc of Radiesse does not directly correlate to a cheek implant size. Your plastic surgeon may have sizers which are used in the office to plan the appropriate size before the cosmetic surgery. Only after a comprehensive evaluation can a plastic surgeon help determine appropriate options for you. Best of luck.

Cheek implants correct flat cheeks.

Cheek implants correct flat cheeks come in various sizes and shapes. In general, small, medium and large. Your surgeon can show these to you at the time of consultation and discuss why he prefers one size or shape over another.

Radiesse vs cheek implants

+1

Longer lasting fillers such as Radiesse have many advantages over cheek implants to consider. One obvious advantage is that surgery is not required. Another is that you can get either a rapid or a gradual correction depending upon how many syringes you have injected and you can decide as you go exactly how much correction looks good. Also, as your face ages it changes over the years. Touch up treatments are constantly being modified to fit the changing face.
