Is a Catheter Used in Sedation Plastic Surgery?

I'm considering plastic surgery and have been advised to have a sedation. My question, is it normal to use a catheter while sedated having cosmetic/plastic surgery?

Catheter for IV sedation

There are many different types of catheters and I am not clear about which one concerns you. Is it an IV catheter, bladder catheter, etc. All IV sedation is delivered via a catheter. However, oral sedation can also be administered without the use for a catheter
