Cardiac arrest after gastric bypass surgery
It is extremely unlikely to have a cardiac arrest if you have a healthy heart from gastric bypass surgery. I always recommend that all patients prior to gastric bypass surgery undergo a complete cardiac work-up. In my experience of over 4500 bariatric surgeries I have never had a patient have a cardiac arrest. It is important to choose an experienced bariatric surgery center of excellence surgeon.
