Have Carbon (not fractional) & Erbium lasers improved significantly from 20 years ago?

I have moderate acne scars that were treated with both lasers 20 years ago & there was no improvement. A plastic surgeon recently told me that if they didn't work then, they won't work now, saying that all lasers have not significantly improved since then. I'd like to hear your opnion. Thank you.

New fractional lasers are dramatically better than those available 20 years ago

I disagree with your Dr.

The new fractional CO2 and erbium laser is our dramatic improvements over technology available as recently as 10 to 12 years ago.

The new non-ablative Fractional ErbiumLasers in the 1540, 1450, and 1585 nm range can significantly improve acne scars.

Please consult an expert plastic surgeon or dermatologist who has extensive experience in laser therapy.
