Is it normal to have extreme bruising & hard lumps/bumps under the skin after sclerotherapy for superficial spider veins?(Photo)

The type of bruising that is shown on the picture is normal. Follow the instructions as given to you by the treating physician, remembering that it is of utmost importance to wear compression stockings for at least 2 weeks and up to three months.Dr Karamanoukian

Bruising, lumps and bumps can occur after sclerotherapy.  Usually this is self limiting and resolves over several weeks.  Sometimes, if the treated veins clot, these may need to be drained (evacuated) with a small needle.  The technique used for sclerotherapy may vary from physician  to physician.  I would recommend that you see a vein specialist or someone with significant in doing sclerotherapy.
