It has been 2 days since sclerotherapy treatment for superficial spider veins. I trusted the doctor,a surgeon for varicose veins. A horrible experience, abrupt, never cleaned my legs with alcohol,no gloves, nurse didn't know how to apply tapes after injections and the treatment was painful. I couldn't sleep due to swelling and pain in the feet. I Asked to see the doctor but could only talk to nurse. She said everything was normal. I have extreme bruising ,hard bumps and a big lump under the skin.

Bruising is common after sclerotherapy."Hard lumps" implies that veins larger than spider veins were injected with sclerosant solutions. If you have concerns, see the physician who did the injections.Dr Karamanoukian
