Can I get Invisalign with veneers?

I have some veneers my dentist sculpted to my teeth. I don't know what they're called, but he said they didn't last as long and they were definitely cheaper than regular veneers. Will this interfere with Invisalign? I only need it for an overbite.

A: Okay to get Invisalign even with porcelain veneers

Michael J. Thomas, DDS

It should not pose any problems, even with porcelain veneers you can get Invisalign, but no brackets can be placed on those teeth. It's the same with conventional braces also.

A: Most likely

Daniel W. Schiavone, DDS

It sounds like you may have resin veneers. These shouldn't present a problem for Invisalign treatment. Commonly used resin attachments used in Invisalign treatment can still be bonded to your restorations.
