Can laser hair removal cause hair loss to other areas on the body other than the treatment site?

I've been getting laser hair removal treatments for my upper and lower back - I've gotten 5 treatments so far. Recently, I've noticed a slight thinning in my eyebrow hairs (mostly my left eyebrow) and appear sparser than usual. Can this be a possible side effect of laser hair removal where light emitted from the laser bounces off of objects in the room and causes hair loss to other areas on my body besides the treatment area?
