Breathing problems after cosmetic rhinoplasty
Breathing problems after rhinoplasty can occur for many reasons. Common causes include such factors as normal swelling, crusting, stitches, or plastic splints, which are normally temporary and resolve within a few days or weeks. Chronic nasal breathing problems can be due to such factors as a deviated septum, allergies, chronic sinusitis, or nasal valve narrowing.
It's difficult to determine possible causes of breathing difficulty without an office examination. Only after a comprehensive evaluation can a rhinoplasty surgeon help determine appropriate options for you. Best of luck.
