Smart lipo is ok if the area is small and the amount of fat also small. Anything more substantial you'd be probably better off investigating Vaser. I suggest consultation/s with ABPS plastic surgeon/s with these skills.
I had a caeserean section last year in November. I have a pouch and some fat around the stomach that I am interested in getting rid of. I do not want a Tummy Tuck because I would like to have more kids in the future. Should I condiser Vaser liposuction or Smart Lipo?

I am two weeks s/p abdominal myomectomy for uterine fibroid removal. I am 5’5” and about 171 pounds. Prior to my surgery, I needed to lose about 10-15 pounds and did have some excess abdominal fat, but it was very mild and I could “suck it in”. I know the swelling has not completely abated, but I am worried because I seem to have developed the dreaded "muffin top" - excess skin hanging over the C-section scar in a shelf like distribution. From a lateral view it looks like I have a 1 inch shelf hanging over the scar. The C-section scar itself is healing great and looks good. However, this abnormal abdominal stress is really scaring me. My questions are: 1. Is 2 weeks too early to expect this to be gone? If so, how much time should I give it? 2. Is there anything I can do to help avoid this becoming permanent (massage, abdominal binders, stretching, etc.) 3. If this becomes something that I need to address with more invasive techniques, is Vaser or SmartLipo a good suggestion, or would I likely need abdominalplasty? I am really not excited about the extension of a scar, so I would be more interested in liposuction, however, I also do not want extra skin hanging. 4. What are the options if you plan on having future children. Should you wait before doing any of the procedures? 5. What are the average prices for these procedures?
