Buttock Augmentation W Fat Grafting and Full Tummy Tuck?

Hi there! I am scheduled for surgery in 3 weeks. I am looking for any advice that will help me with my recovery. Things I should buy ahead of time, creams to buy that helps African American skin, foods to eat afterwards, etc. Any information will be most helpful and appreciated. I am so nervous!

Getting ready for surgery / Quedandose lista para cirugia

Getting ready for surgery for most cosmetic procedures tends to the same.  1) You must stop smoking!!  No excuses or cheating!!  2) Only take medicines allowed by your surgeon. Stop all herbal, natural and diet products at least two weeks before surgery.  Do not take any aspirin, motrin/advil, naproxen or other nsaids without notifying your doctor first(Celebrex ok).  3) Continue to exercise, and no starvation diets.  4)  Make sure you have your post op supplies already purchased.  Post op meds are a must to have if possible.   Get a healthy variety of food . Think about buying a  scar cream(with silicone) and extra garments.  Will you need a special chair, recliner or pillows?  The more you are prepared the easier it will be to get past the post operative period with a smile on your face.

Good luck and thanks for the question.

Sincerely,

Atentamente,

Butt Augmentation with Tummy Tuck Pre Op Instructions

+2

hi Sully,

Your plastic surgeon should provide you with a list of pre-op and post op instructions. Be sure to know what HIS protocol is. However, in my practice, the main ones include:

Pre-op Brazilian Butt Lift/ Tummy Tuck Instructions

  • list of over-the-counter medications and vitamin supplements to discontinue
  • stop smoking

Post-op Brazilian Butt Lift/ Tummy Tuck Instructions

  • No sitting on your buttocks for a period of time. For ideal, long lasting results I recommend 3 weeks!
  • No driving for 2-3 weeks following a tummy tuck!

Additionally a Pain Pump will alleviate a lot of pain associated with the tummy tuck. Read more about my pain pumps here! I have been using them for years and it makes a huge difference in the recovery. Good luck!
