one of my cheek implants got infected and my doctor cleaned out the infection and put antibiotics in the affected area and stiched it back up again.Now the infection is gone but i got a bump inside my cheek which makes a part of the stiches to heal slowly and it has started to hurt... is that an infection ?

I have performed many Cheek Augmentations with Cheek Implants and IMHO, any lump, bump or soreness after Cheek Implant placement should be a reason to rule out an infection.

Cheek Bump after Cheek Implants

A cheek bump follwing cheek implant placement with infection may just be scarring or swelling secondary to the operation. However, I do want you to see your surgeon because you now describe increasing pain which might be a sign of a persistent or recurring infection.

Scar Tissue Or Recurrent Infection After Cheek Implants

It is possible that this cheek bump is just scar tissue or bunched up tissue from the secondary closure. Or it could be a reaccumulation of a fluid pocket around the implant and a recurrent infection. Infections around synthetic implants can be very hard to cure without implant removal. Time will tell if this is an infection as the bump will grow and your face will get swollen and red.
