I have verry bad nose, and i'm ashamed to talk about that with my parrents, but that is hurting me so much. When i was about 11-12 years i broke my nose and since then i have verry big hump on my nose, and i dont want my look at all. So my question is can i broke my nose ,,accidentally'' and go to clinic and have rhinoplasty at that moment. Would that fix the problem. Should i break only the hump. Please dont tell me to speak with my parents, i cant do that. Thank you doctors
Answer: Broken nose repair Trauma to the nose and cause the hump to grow larger and nasal bones to be twisted. To reduce the nasal fracture and make the nasal bons straight requires osteotomies. A rhinoplasty can be performed at the same time but is considered cosmetic, and not related to the trauma. A broken nose repair and a rhinoplasty can both be performed simultaneously at the same time, but this is not an emergency. To perform a reduction of nasal fracture or rhinoplasty, this is performed as an outpatient surgical setting once the swelling has subsided from the trauma. A closed rhinoplasty approach to accomplish making the required cosmetic changes to the nose. For many examples of broken nose repair in our practice, please see the link below

CONTACT NOW Answer: A Rhinoplasty should be carefully planned... There are a lot of patients who suffer a nasal fracture that ultimately undergo rhinoplasty at the same time as fracture repair. However, it is not something you can just do quickly at a clinic. Preoperative planning is the most important aspect of rhinoplasty and the surgeon should be able to sit down and examine and discuss your nose in a state without an acute injury. Once the fracture heals, a plan to both fix the fracture and correct any cosmetic problem can be undertaken. While family support is usually important, if you are over 18, you don't necessarily need to discuss it with them.

Answer: If I break my nose and go to hospital, can I have a rhinoplasty at that moment? I don't think that's a good idea at all - even in Bulgaria. Please don't break your nose, you could cause significant other injuries such as brain damage or visual loss. No surgeon would do a cosmetic rhinoplasty at the time of a nasal fracture either, and in a best case scenario you will end up with a more deformed nose until you get it fixed electively later. Best of luck. Daniel Golshani MD

Answer: Nasal Fracture: Rhinoplasty options There is no way that purposely breaking your nose is a good idea ever. I would suggest discussing it with your parents and try to articulate your concerns clearly so there can be a positive discussion around the issues. Nasal fractures, however, are serious business and not a good way to get to the end you desire.

Answer: Don't break your nose. It was broken already. If a broken nose is causing you to have trouble breathing then your insurance may help you with your procedure. If you break your nose then you will go to the emergency room and they will stabilize you and send you home. They won't fix your nose while you are there. I'm sorry you don't like your nose but what you are suggesting is dangerous and won't even work.
