My objective is an overall slimmer face. I'm very skinny but my large cheeks do not look proportionate to the rest of my body. I'm 27 years old.

Buccal Fat Removal vs. Botox Jaw Reduction for Facial Slimming
Thank you for your question.
Patients frequently ask which procedure is most appropriate to slim the face, reducing fat, muscle, or bone? Buccal fat reduction obviously reduces facial fat via a small incision inside the mouth. Results are typically more subtle, as most plastic surgeons recommend recommend conservative fat reduction. Botox jaw reduction helps to gradually shrink large lower jaw muscle size. Results are temporary and need to be repeated a couple times a year. The most aggressive is jaw bone reduction, where bones is shaved from the lower jaw via general anesthesia.
Each procedure treats a different area of the face. Starting with Botox jaw reduction is usually a good first option, as the risks and downtime are the lowest as compared to buccal fat reduction or jaw bone surgery. Some patients may require both treatments to achieve their desired results. Only after a comprehensive evaluation can a plastic surgeon help determine appropriate options for you. Best of luck.
