I have soft, bubble-like raised areas on my cheek after a Juvederm injection for acne scarring. Hyaluronidase a year later did not dissolve them. I have found out that Juverderm is not approved for acne scarring. My doctor's suggestion was a face lift. Is there no other way to remove these?

Juvederm lumps
Juvederm lumps can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Juvederm is only approaved for the nasolabial folds, but doctors use it all the time as an off-label use for other areas of the face including for acne scars.

Close up photos could help us determine exactly what you issue is. since you could not post my gues is as follows as to the treatments options. Direct excision of each area, a facelift (whether a full or mini I can not address), laser ablation therapy, or learn to live with it.

All Hyaluronic acids can be disolved even a year later. Therfore see your surgeon and get a proper diagnosis and treatment.

Bubble like reaction for acne scarring from Juvederm
Having any correction a year later after Juvederm occurs but not very common. Juvederm would be dissolved by hyaluronidase so one must question if this is unrelated, or if there is a cyst which can happen in acne scars.
