Could Brown Patches on Face Be Melasma?

Hi! A few months ago, I noticed that two freckles right beside my left eye had merged together, now there is a large patch about one inch in diameter of dark brown skin, it has also appeared beside my right eye also. I am on birth control. Do you think this is Melasma?

I am using Skinoren but it is not making any difference whatsoever. I'm really worried because I am due to get married soon and these two patches are extremely noticeable and seem to be getting bigger. Many thanks
