Thank you for your question. These burns are not a normal outcome. You should avoid all sun exposure 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks after treatments. For proper care and pre/post procedure instructions consult a Board Certified Plastic Surgeons office.

This is something that a Derm or Plastic Surgeon should take care of. I can't see why the person continued to treat the entire leg if there was a burn noted. This will leave pigmentary changes, most likely, that will take months to improve. They will get better, perhaps not back to normal. You have dark skin and this requires an experienced laser operator to treat you. I would probably use a 1064 YAG to treat you the safest way. Biafine is probably the best for this but I defer to the doc you will see.
