At 18 I Had Dermabrasion Done on the Right Side of my Face Due to Scars from a Bad Car Accident? (photo)

Now at the age of 52 the left side of my face is more wrinkled then the right? is that due to have the dermabrasion by Dr. Julius Newman back in 1978? I look like there are 2 sides (different sides ) to my face. How can I fix this?

Photos are nice family types but as to help see the issues they can not help. Best to seek ONLY IN PERSON evaluations.

Use of fraxil laser to smooth the face

Hard to tell from your photographs but there are many new moralities such as fraxial laser treatment that can smooth the opposite side of your face.

I am not a doctor, but I do know several people who had severe scars from accidents as teenagers, which healed beautifully and seemed to disappear. Then, as they aged they seemed to become visible again. Even my son, who was hit by his brother in the lip when he was only 18 months old, had a scar that was treated by a plastic surgeon and disappeared. Now that he is thirty, you can see it again, and he asked me about it, as it appeared out of nowhere...so he thought! (Now he's mad at his brother!). As the skin weakens and shifts, old scars return. I never had acne, but breakouts on my chin as a teen. Now little scars are surfacing, as "age's little reminder". I would look into a series of laser or chemical peels. I am hearing more and more that getting milder treatment, say, six weeks to two months apart, is the more conservative and safest way to treat older skin. I'm sure you will look great!!
