It's been 5 months since having lower lid bleph. Mostly happy with results, but I still have some swelling/redness (looks shiny at times) around the eyes as well as fairly dramatic puffiness after a night out. I also get the occasional "Are you wearing mascara?" due to the incision scar. I think I remember my doctor telling me it could be up to a year before full healing, but should these be issues at this point? Are these issues here to stay? Thought I'd look normal by now. Thanks!

Answer: Healing time after lower lid blepharoplasty
Thank you for your question. Your lower eyelids appear mildly dark in the photos. If this is from thin skin revealing blood vessels beneath it, then there is no available treatment that works well. If the skin is pigmented, there are bleaching creams and lasers that could improve the darker...
It appears that you have ptosis in your photographs. You should be evaluated in person by an oculoplastic surgeon who can determine what your problem is and guide you with possible treatment options. If surgery is warranted, you should recover very quickly. Good luck.
It is best to have consultation to evaluate the bags and assess if surgical treatment would be the best and most cost effective permanent solution with best aesthetic outcome. thanks
