I am 5', 105 pounds, 32DD. I underwent breast reduction via inferior pedicle 6months ago. Surgeon only removed 95g, thus I am the same size except they are broader and perkier which I absolutely hate because I now cannot even hide them under my clothes. I have been told that because of that procedure, I cannot have another reduction (blood supply issue) and am limited only to liposuction. My breasts are much more glandular than fat. Any sugguestions, any at all????

Repeat “Breast Reduction”?

It sounds like there was some form of miscommunication between you and your surgeon. A definitive breast reduction can be done in the future; you may want to wait at least 6 months, if not longer. Please make sure you consult with well experienced board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes.

Inadequate breast reduction

A 95 gram breast reduction is minimal. It sounds like your surgeon performed a breast lift rather than a reduction. It is incorrect that you would be ineligible to undergo a full reduction at a later date, at least six months after the initial surgery.

Breast reduction

If you had a breast reduction you shoulld have had more than 95 gms removed at that time. It certainly is reasonable to get a revision but you should wait 6 months or longer.

Re-Reduction

It does not make sense to me to only remove 95 grams in breast reduction that I am to assume was to help alleviate back pain and neck pain. To answer your question you can have another breast reduction done. The operating surgeon must use the same pedicle design that was done in the prior operation. It is best for the surgeon get the operative summary from the first reduction to make sure that an inferior pedicle a was performed and the manner in which it was performed. Dr. ES... more

Repeat breast reduction

From what you are describing, a repeat reduction could be done.  There are always blood flow issues, but these shouldn't pose a substantial risk that you couldn't go again. Sounds like you need a new surgeon though if you were going in for a reduction and only got 95 grams removed.  What you had was just a lift.

Breast reduction in New York City.

Hi. It sounds like what you really had was a breast lift with minimal breast reduction. Technically, a revision is more difficult, but I think you can have another breast reduction safely.

Repeat Breast Reduction

It is possible to have a revision of your breast reduction. I would advise waiting a minimum of 6 months. The redo reduction should be performed again with an inferior pedicle technique as that blood supply should remain intact but other sources of blood supply to your nipple-areolar area have probably been interupted.
