Pain when lifting after a breast augmentation

You should not have pain lifting 8 lbs 6 months after a breast augmentation.  I recommend a follow up with your plastic surgeon and potentially a visit with an orthopedist to figure out what other things might be going on.  Good luck.

subpectoral or submuscular procedures generally heal within  six to twelve weeks however any muscle pain can continue to heal for months. your doctor should rule out other possible causes and then consider using antii inflammatory and muscle relaxants.

Best to be seen by your surgeon IN PERSON to do an evaluation of the results and see if the pain is implant related or exercise related.

More than likely your pain is not directly related to your breast surgery.  It sounds more like a musculoskeletal type pain.

At this time period postop, I do not think that your pain has anything to do with your surgical procedure.  The most likely cause would be musculoskeletal pain associated with your ribs, chest wall or musculature.

There is nothing in the photograph provided it is worrisome. However, breast pain six months after breast augmentation should not be related to the procedure. You should check in with your surgeon to see if you have a problem.

This will not be answerable over the internet. There are lots of possible causes of breast pain, related to any of the structures nearly (breast, chest muscle, ribs, cartilage, lungs, heart).

Start by seeing your surgeon. All the best.

Hello and thanks for your post. The result pictured looks nice and there is nothing there that would tell us why you are having breast pain. There are other causes of breast pain which may require you to see your doctor and even get some additional tests. Best wishes, Dr. Aldo.
