Breast Lift with Augmentation
Hello and thank you for the question.
I have examined your photographs. There is no doubt that a breast lift / augmentation will give you improvements in both shape and volume of the breast. To ask for a desired result based on a photograph of another patient is a bit hopeful. No two breasts are the same and outcome will depend on a plethora of factors. If I were you, I would have my mindset on achieving volumization with improvement of the breast mound. If you want a better...

Is it possible?
Hi Samantha,
Of course I understand that you are not expecting an exact replication of the photo you show as your goal result, but I think that if approached correctly, your result could be very similar. Now having said that, what is not achievable is getting that result without a breast lift, and the requisite scars that come with a breast lift. I believe you already understand that though.
So moving forward, let me elucidate some things about your breasts and...

Realistic Goal for Mastopexy-Augmentation
The surgery you are having is a breast lift with implants whereas the second photograph is a breast augmentation. Now although the size won't be an issue, it would be unreasonable to expect that you will have the same shape as the second picture. This is because there are many more variables that go into your surgery, from your skin and tissue quality to the fact that these two operations do competing things (implants stretch the skin and tissues and uplifts tighten the skin and...

Not worried about you getting the size
I am not worried if you will be able to achieve the size of the patient picture you provided, but more the shape and position. Her nipple-areolar complex in the augmentation is high on the chest because the mound is higher in the chest then you may actually achieve. Volume has to with implant size which I am sure you and your surgeon can decide.

Breast expectation
There are enough differences between you and the one you want to be like that it isn't likely that you will get really close. It helps to see photos, but like doing hair, sometimes you can't have all you want. You can still have a nice result though!

Breast augmentation together with breast lift
When you look at the photo on the right you are really looking at the breast and the body they are sitting on. Even if you could magically take the breasts off the patient on the right and put them on your body they will not be perceived to be the same (even in size) in their new environment. We would need to see a before surgery of the women on the right to see if there is even a remote chance of making your postoperative appearances similar. Even if you take identical twins and do the...

Realistic expectations are important
It is important to look at photographs of patients who look similar to yourself to obtain realistic expectaions. There are several things that plasic surgeons assess during a consultation.. These include nipple postion, chest width, shape of the natural breast, distribution of the natural breast tissue etc. These and other parameters including implant size and shape help to determine what the final post op result will be like. While it may be possible to achieve this...

Realistic Expectations with Breast Augmentation
When viewing postoperative photographs, I always encourage patients to compare themselves to patients with similar preoperative photographs. You have much more native breast tissue and ptosis (breast sagging) than this patient had before surgery. Therefore, your results will be aesthetically different.
It is possible to get a close size match, but the shape will differ due to the amount of breast tissue and sagging.
I would recommend a lift with...

Augmentation With Lift
It is not possible to exactly match photos of other patient's breasts, faces, etc. As pointed out, the patient in the other photo does not appear to have had a lift which you need. She also has a wide breast which I do not feel in achievable in your case without using implants which I fear will become troublesome. Obtain a consultation with a BC surgeon who can tell you what result you realistically expect.

Breast lift and augmentation combinations work well
Based on your photo (the one on the left) - you need both a breast lift and augmentation. The woman on the right had an augmentation with a large implant, and no lift. Totally seperate cosmetic issues - apples and oranges , so to speak. Make sure you find a good plastic surgeon that does a lot of breast lift surgery.

Expectations of breast lift and breast augmentation together
I would say that your goals are unrealistic. First of all, I caution all my patients against bringing in photographs of someone else. Her body, build, preoperative breast size, and overall anatomy and completely different from yours. So it is completely unrealistic to expect any outcome for you to look like someone else. It is important to understand this before surgery, so as to have the best realistic expectations and not be disappointed.
This patient appears to have had a breast...

Unrealistic.
It seems unrealistic to achieve the look of the photo provided. The best way to visualize how your breasts will look is to ask your surgeon to show you photos of similar breasts to your own. It does not look like the girl in the photo started off with as much breast tissue as you have and it does not appear she has had a lift.

Expectatiosn after breast lift & augmentation
You may want to discuss your expectations with a Board Certified plastic surgeon and look at some pictures of patients with a similar body & breast shape as you have. You will most likely need a breast lift and your results are unlikely to look similar to the picture you posted.

Goals of lift and augmentation
You have to be more realistic because I think in the other picture the patient did not have a lfit, and you need one.
