In breast augmentation the three main factors in determining stretch mark production are determined by you, the implant and time. You - You're more likely to develop stretch marks if you have poor quality/elastic skin or you have stretch marks elsewhere or you have previously had larger breasts (pregnancy/weight gain/rapid growth phase previously). Implant - The larger the implant, the more likely you will get stretch marks. Stretch marks may take time to develop and if you ever need to remove the implants the skin is usually thinner and of poorer quality than previously. Aging - Skin quality deteriorates over time. Is a final note of reassurance: If you dont have stretch marks on your breasts preoperatively it is extremely unusual for you to have stretch marks postoperatively!
