Timing
I usually ask my patients to return for at least one more consultation prior to proceeding with the surgery. At this time we can discuss the procedure and your wishes again.

It varies but doesn't have to be that long

Thank you for the question. In general your schedule, the doctors schedule. And the surgery center schedule must be free, the implants you have decided on have to be available, and the per-operative paperwork has to be completed. This process can be as little as a day but usually a week or more is more common.

Time from consult to surgery
Provided you and your surgeon agree upon a plan, the time could be as little as a day. All depends upon surgeon's schedule and yours. A surgeon in great demand may have a longer waiting list.

Consultation to Surgery Date
As long as you meet criteria for breast augmentation, are currently in good health, and time is available in your surgeon's schedule, you could potentially undergo surgery the day after your consultation.
