Breast Implants After Breast Reduction?

I am currently a small 34 D and have always liked the shape and firmness of my implants but I am afraid that if I get another implants with my already large size, they will not have the same firmness. I would also like them to be a size larger. Would I be able to get a breast reduction and then put in breast implants?

To go larger, don't need reduction of breasts

If you want firmer and larger, it sounds like you just need to go up in size with the implants. It would not make sense to remove tissue and put in larger implants.

No.

Hi, Thank you for your question. It is unclear exactly why you are having your implants replaced. If you just want bigger implants, this should not decrease your firmness. In fact, depending on your breast tissue and elasticity, it may make your breasts firmer. I would not advise having a reduction and would be surprised if any board certified surgeon would do it. In the future, you may need a lift or a possible reduction. Best regards, Dr. Speron

Breast reduction at the same time as implants - not in this case

It is unclear exactly what you are asking - obviously if you want to be larger, putting in a larger implant is all you would need. if there are other concerns with your breast, however, now is the time to address them. i encourage all of my revision patients to list everything they would like to achieve with the revision surgery and then we go over these goals together and come up with a plan. i would recommend you find a revision surgeon who will go through the same process with you, ar... more

DO NOT DO IT!

Dear Ash, If you are considering going to a larger size implant than what you currently have, this should not cause your breasts to be less firm. On the contrary, depending on your tissue and skin elasticity, they will probably become firmer. The idea of doing a breast reduction before putting in implants does not make sense and would reflect poor judgment of the surgeon who would do it. You may need a lift or a reduction later in life that is the time to consider these procedures. Not... more

If you replace your breast implants with larger ones you won't need reduction

Placing larger implants will preserve your fullness and not require a breast reduction. If your breasts are sagging then a breast lift or dermal mastopexy may be required at the time of your breast augmentation.See before and after photos of breast lift and breast augmentation.
