Implant costs
Breast implants are not priced by the size of the implant. But, they are priced differently for different styles. A silicone implant is more expensive than a saline filled one. And, biodimensional are more expensive than rounds.

Breast implants not usually priced according to size
Hello,
Pricing for breast augmentation surgery may vary based upon prospective difficulty with the case or the patient though. Larger implant cases can be harder or take longer or require more follow-up. Otherwise, there should be little difference in $$$ in most cases. Some implants cost more than others but again the differences tend to be small in the same category. Saline implants do cost less than silicone gel implants though.

Breast implants are not priced by size
In the Chicago area breast implants are not priced by the size of the implant. The cost is determined by the implant type, saline verses silicone gel. The silicone gel implants are more costly due to the increased expense to market and manufacture this "newer" or recently reintroduced implant.
Practices in Chicago do have a charge differential for a silicone gel implant, but not a cost difference based on size. If you are usure about what you are hearing, seek another opinion to...

Breast implants not priced according to size
Breast implant cost is not effected by size or volume, but by implant type. Silicone gel costs more than saline, and anatomic costs more than round. There may be differneces in textured versus smooth as well.

Hi there-
Breast implants are priced based on the material filler in them. Saline implants are relatively inexpensive because saline solution is inexpensive and is placed at the time of surgery (so you are really only paying for the shell of the implant), whereas medical grade silicone is very expensive to produce, and this cost is passed on to you in the cost of the implant.
Having said that, whether you have a 250cc silicone implant placed, or a 700cc silicone implant, the cost is the...

Silicone implants cost more than saline implants and the profile of the implant can also increase it's cost. They are not more expensive because of the number of cc's in the implant.

Implants are priced according to type, not size
Hi,
We purchase our implants direct from the manufacture at a specific price per implant type (i.e. saline or silicone), not according to size or cc of the implant.
It is best to decide on your plastic surgeon based on his knowledge, skill and how comfortable you feel with him and his staff and not on price alone.

Breast Implant Pricing
No, implants are not sold according to size. Prices vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, and different styles within each manufacturer may have different pricing, but size would rarely if ever be an issue in regard to pricing. While doing your price comparison shopping, do make certain that you're looking at board certified plastic surgeons. That's the one very, very important area where it pays to always choose the very best.
