I'm scheduled to have a breast lift with implants and worried about the size. I am a small c, saggy/deflated, and want to be a full c or small d. I am looking at 325cc but worried because they looked large. I tried on the 300 to get the look of 325. I am 5'10 and 140 pounds. they are under muscle.

How to Accurately Gauge Breast Implant Size?

Choosing the right implant
Choosing the right implant is performed during consultation. This is based upon many factors including height and weight, measurements, pre existing breast tissue volume and shape etc.. A size and type of implant is usually recommended, and then I request from the patient to try the "rice or water in a baggy" maneuver to allow the patient to get a rough idea of the volume in a form fitting T-shirt with a bra. Wiggle room for the implant size is determined base upon the...

Choosing implant size
Carefully measure the base diameter of the breast. Implants will usually come in three profiles: low, moderate, and high profile (Allergan) or moderate, moderate plus, and high profile (Mentor). As a general rule, low profile implants will increase you one cup size, moderate profile implants will increase you two cup sizes, and high profile will increase you about three cup sizes.

How to size Breast Implants
There is no real good way to accurately size breast implants. Perhaps the best way is to use implants or similar devices in a sports or non-uplifting bra. Although this is not a true representation of what you will look like once the implant is below the breast, it will, at least, give you an idea. You can then express which size seems closer to what you want. Then it is up to your surgeon to pick the exact size based on your observations. A good way to try this is with Natrelle’s...

How to pick breast implants.
How to pick breast implant sizes

1) This is the most common type of question on RealSelf.
2) It is the surgeon's job to pick the right breast implants, not the patient's. Implant selection is really pretty technical.
3) Make sure your surgeon REALLY understands the look you want. Mentioning a cup size is not enough. Show your surgeon pictures of breasts you like.
4) Then your surgeon has to tell...

Sizing implants
See my other posts regarding implant size. However, one trick I use is to tape the breast to mimic the effects of a lift. I can then get an idea of the dimensions of your natural breast once the sagging is corrected. Then I use my normal measurements to determine the ideal, most natural implant and adjust the width and projection based on what your goals are. The most natural implants are ones that fit the natural dimensions of your breast and is the lowest in projection or profile (i.e....

Sizing with breast implants
There is no perfect way to size for breast implant surgery. The method I prefer is to first see what the patient's goal is. Then based on measurements and skin laxity, make recommendations for implants. As it sounds like you have done, sizing with the implants in a sports bra works the best in my hands. The only promise I can make to my patients is that you will be a little smaller and you will not be bigger than what you see.
I hope this helps.
