Breast Implant Painful After Fall

Had Masectomy 15 years ago, had implant 5 years later. Had a bad fall straight onto breast implant 6 days ago. Saw my doctor on Monday and pain was not too bad, but each day it is getting worse, can hardly move or lie down now. A year ago i noticed that my implant had sunk down into my diaphgram, and it is hard on top. What do you think has happened.

Pain following fall onto breast

IT sounds as if you have two different processes going on: the firmness present for over a year and the pain from a fall 6 days ago. You could have a hematoma or muscle pull and should discuss this with your surgeon

Pain in breast

Firmness is one thing that may have developed over time. But pain from recent fall probably shoudl be worked up to make sure you did not sustain any other injuries.

Severe Pain After Fall on Reconstructed Breast

Before focusing on the state of your implant you should have a chest film to make sure you did not break your collar bone or ribs or suffered an injury to the lung. Once this is ruled out, you need to see your Plastic surgeon and him evaluate you and the implant. Guessing and conjecturing on the internet is a useless exercise. Good Luck!
