Uni-boob after breast augmentation
This is called symmastia and is very difficult to correct. It is necessary to reestablish the medial border of the pocket and this typically means a new bio- material to insert there. Contact a specialist in revisional breast surgery.

Synmastia
When breast implants cross the breast bone you get the condition you are describing. Correction of this problem is certainly possible but the specific technique used will depend on where the implants were placed and the initial technique used to place them. This information will be needed by the surgeon you chose to correct this problem. Obtain your operative report and seek out a board certified plastic surgeon to evaluate and recommend the appropriate...

Correction of symmastia
This is a very difficult problem to correct. The best way to deal with this is to not create the condition to begin with. The term for the condition is called symmastia, and it doesn't occur unless the surgeon creates it. There are several ways to correct it- creating new pockets for smaller breast implants and not using the original pockets would be the best technique, in my opinion. A second technique would be to use a dermal material to...

Uniboob-Symmastia
Symmastia (medial malposition breast implants) can be corrected with high likelihood of success using medial breasts implant pocket sutures (medial capsulorrhaphy), lateral capsulotomy (if necessary), and/or the use of allograft. I do not believe that a staged procedure, involving removal of implants for period of time, is necessary.
There is a learning curve with this operation and I recommend that you seek consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon with significant...

Uniboobs after breast implants
As others have stated, this problem, also called symmastia, can be challenging to correct. It is typically due to the implant pockets extending too far towards the midline. The exact surgical technique will depend up the initial placement of your implants (above or below the pectoralis muscle) as well as the experience and preferred technique of the surgeon who you consult with to fix it. I would suggest that you find a Plastic Surgeon who is experienced in the correction...

Too much cleavage, without implants
Ms azn1234: If your unaugmented breasts are too close together, "like uniboobs after breast implants" it may be that you have a lot of breast tissue. Remember that breasts are composed of a skin envelope, fat, glandular tissue and fibrous tissue. Too little space between unoperated breasts may be due to excess fat, a layer which can be altered by careful liposuction, as suggested by Dr. Markmann. On the other hand, weight loss may "correct" this without...

Successful correction of symmastia, joined breasts
The correction of symmastia (uni-boob) that appears after breast augmentation can definitely be corrected surgically. There are a number of factors that a surgeon needs to consider in order to achieve satisfactory outcome. It's important to choose not only correct implant size, but appropriate implant shape. More importantly, the surgical maneuvers require experience, skill and talent. Please discuss with your surgeon the specifics of his/her approach to your revision, to make sure your...

UniBoob..... Without implants???
It sounds as though you are saying that you have the appearance of Synmastia or UniBoob even though you do not have implants. ??? Is that right? If this is so, then It may be improved with liposuction, removing some of the excess tissue in this region and hopefully giving you a little more space between your breasts. This may also create some additional scar tissue to prevent the tissues from pulling away from your breast bone as happens with the uniboob scenario as well.

Symmastia - Breast implants are too close together
"Bread-loafing" or "Uni-boob" is correctable but can be very challenging. This condition occurs when the breast implants migrate too close to the mid line and cause separation of the tissues over the breast bone. Key factor include your skin and tissue qualities and the implant location. If the implants are above the muscle, they can be placed under the muscle in a newly created "pocket" that maintains separation of the implants. If the tissues over the breast...

Symmastia
This condition is called symmastia. Mild to moderate symmastia can be fixed by opening a new pocket for the implants but severe forms of symmastia may require removal of the implants for six months.

Breast implants too close
Having symmastia or breast implants that are too close or touching each other is a difficult problem to fix. It will require surgery. Common methods are to create a new pocket and/or use a skin or dermal substitute to separate the implants and place them back in a normal position. This is something to discuss with your board certified plastic surgeon as any revision breast surgery has higher risks.

Correction of symmastia
There are options for correcting the problem of symmastia, which is caused by the implants too close together. The specific recommendation would depend on your circumstance; often the diameter of the implants is too large, for example. Assuming the implants are under the muscle, it can be very difficult to re-attach the muscle in order to re-create the inner border of the breast. A Strattice graft can be very helpful for this.

Uni Boobs after Breast Augmentation
There are a several options available to correct "uni Boobs' The best option will of course depend on your specific problem. If the implants are above the muscle then placing them below the muscle will most likely help. There has been a great deal of success with acellular dermis, which is a "dermal" product which can be sutured inplace to help define a new pocket, or it might be possilbe to use flaps which have...
