The swelling begins to significantly subside by 2 weeks after surgry as long as you are following proper postop guidelines and not overdoing. In my practice, most all of the final swelling is gone by 6-8 weeks after surgery. Probably the "final" result is obtained by 3 months.

hi, 3 weeks ago i went for augmentation/mastopexy i was small cup B and with 345cc i came a small D CUP,a few hours after the surgery i noticed that i had a big bruise on my back and when my surgeon saw it he told me that i had an internal bleeding and because it was at the side between my back and my left breast it went dawn on my back ,he told me to put ice and after 2 days putting ice the bruise was gone but still at the side were i had it i still feeling small burning and its abit swolen too and abit hard when you touch it but the breast look normal and no bruises at all from out side ,is that normal after 3 weeks im still feeling shooting pain and burning at the side were i had the internal bleeding??
