I received 25 units for TMJ on 8/21 - a slight headache began that evening. The following morning (8/22), I had a full-blown headache. I took Tylenol and it seemed to help a little. Upon waking the next day (8/23) the headache again was full-blown, I took some more Tylenol, they are helping a little. How long will these headaches persist?

I'm also glad to hear that I'm not the only one having a Botox headache!! And blurred vision in my left eye. I have been told it is normal but find myself whinning and wishing I had never had it done. My injection was on 10/23 I hope my head stops hurting soon.

It has been 2 months and I am still having chronic daily headaches since 25 units of botox. I am miserable and want it to wear off soon!

I had botox twice. Both times my headache started soon after and lasted for months not responding to any pain medications. Most doctors who apply it deny to have heard of such complications, but sure it exits. I am glad to see I am not the only one.

I had botox 5 days ago, I got a headache immediately after. This pressure headache continues for me. Does anyone know how long this will last? Please tell me it will go away and soon! I can take medications that help relieve it but it still lingers. I am crabby and it is so not worth it.

Sorry to hear that you have experienced headaches after your Botox injections. Now that it is over a week later, I am pretty sure that your prayers have come true. I have not heard of headaches following Botox injections lasting for more than a day or so. Please let us know how you are doing. Often the headache may not be related to the Botox, but due to the needle either bruising a nerve, or causing minor bleeding with a painful hematoma. By the way, dental bite blocks are very helpful for the pain of TMJ Syndrome. Good luck and be well. Dr. P

I had botox a week and a half ago at the corner of my eyes and got a migraine 2 days later. The next day I just had a slight headache , but it has not gone away!!! Nothing will work. The pain is sometimes stronger one day than the next but is still always there. I'm sorry I ever got botox in the first place. I'm praying the headache won't last as long as the botox. It's difficult for me to work and concentrate.

I got Botox seven months ago (first time). The headaches started immediately after the injections to the point where I almost couldn't drive home from the doctor's office. I experienced fairly severe headaches for about a month and flu-like symptoms for two weeks following Botox. After everything subsided, I was happy with the results. Now it has worn off and as much as I hate the deep wrinkle between my eyes, I'm not sure I will do it again as I really couldn't function well during the month following Botox. Beware!

Whaaat? headaches due to botox.. I've never heard about them. I had botox injected in my forehead several times before trying it on my crow's feet and was very happy with the results until 6 days after the application as I started experiencing the worst headache ever..nothing has worked. I've never had experience a migraine or such and intense pain as this. It's been 2 weeks and the pain's still there, the intensity comes and goes but it doesn't go away. have to learn to love those crow's feet...
