Why are plastic surgeons NOT loving Lipodissolve?

I Really wanted to get this treatment. I mean really! I had read great things about it. I learned my PS who I completely trust doesn't do it. But, I kept looking. The thing that struck me as unusual was that the overwhelming majority of physicians peforming this aesthetic plastic surgery procedure are not plastic surgeons. Let's face it, why wouldn't more board certified plastic surgeons be performing this procedure if there was real proof that it worked as was safe?

Please do not waste your money on lipodisolve. Not only is it very very painful with pain lasting for days it adds fat. I had 12 weeks plus treatment in my stomach my stomach was just fat before now it is fat and lumpy with fat or something that was pumped in me. I was rubbed down with something that was suppose to numb the pain it did not work. So I will be paying off this debt for two years and I am fat and lumpy now. Please stay away from this painful expensive dangerous scam.

I continue to read reviews and summaries about lipodissolve that have been written by Allure and Realself.com that are interesting but just are not true. Lipodissolve MD's that are certified and trained are taught very precise techniques and do not use their own "cocktails." Lipodissolve is a fixed formula compounded by one pharmacy. The complaints that are being lodged are mainly due to poorly run organizations and untrained MD's. The fact remains more morbidity and mortality has come from liposuction and surgical procedures than by lipodissolve. Is lipodissolve "worth it" yes it is! It provides an alternative to surgical procedures. No one has ever died from Lipodissolve!! Thank you for your time.

I am Paige Tate. I was on the Fox morning show with Dr. Richard D'Amico. I have suffered terrible circumstances because of the LippoDissolve injections I had done Sept 07. I continue to suffer everyday! Since the show, I began work again. Only to find that the pain on a daily basis is becoming harder and harder to ingnore. Just like everyone else, I have to work to help support the 4 children I have. The injections given in my sides (the final blow) grow more and more painful as each day passes. My back has become so useless. If I take on a household chore, I must set aside 2 hours to recover. The bottom of my left foot at times, becomes suddenly numb. I find it moving up my leg as time passes. Sleep is something of luxury for me. A full nights sleep consist of at least two glasses of milk (if I can stomach it) and one late, late night show. I am so sick of being tired, and tired of being sick. So yes, yes I say that all woman out there should say "no". No to having another person "inject" unknown chemicals into their bodies. Obviously they are not natural. If they were, God would have equiped our bodies with it in the beginning. As you see, we don't know for sure exactly what they are "injecting" and at what cost will it be.

There are several reasons that plastic surgeons don't do it. First it is not advocated by our society. More research is needed to establish that it is safe and effective. I (and I am sure a lot of other doctors and patients who have received the treatment), have noticed uneven results, and bad results. I have had to correct several outcomes from family doctors. The treatments are injected, and the solution goes where it goes-little to no control. The reaction may be variable. The results-divots, high areas, sagging skin, etc. Some people may get an excellent result, but it is dicey. It is not cheap either, and bad results may not always be remediable. Liposuction and other techniques are reproducible and safe.
