Face Won't Tan After Blue Light with Levulan

When I was 16 (about seven years ago) I had a series of blue light with levulan treatments for moderate acne. The treatments worked well for the acne but since then my face doesn't tan anymore. I am light skinned but my face used to get a nice tan in the sun. My body still gets a nice tan when I spend time outside. I was wondering why my face won't tan anymore and if there is anything I can do about this?
