Is Blistering Common After Fraxel Treatment?
Doctor Answers (1)
Blistering after Fraxel Repair
Fraxel Repair uses a fractional delivery of carbon dioxide laser to resurface the skin. Oozing occurs, some small bleeding points, slight crusts and within several days to two weeks, complete epithelialization is noted for most patients. Blisters do not usually occur and can be a sign of an allergic contact dermatitis to a cream used for healing, bacterial infection, or even a serious cold sore (herpes) viral infection. You should contact your doctor immediately for evaluation of your blisters.
