I had double eyelid surgery for both eyes and ptosis repaired on my left eyelid on Feb. 9th, 2015. I wanted to know if my left eyelid crease (outer corner) is swelling or is it going to have 2 creases fold.
Answer: Totally agree with you. If this persists like this, then this may very well benefit from a revisional procedure. However, surgery was not even 2 weeks ago. While I very much think you look amazing considering how recent surgery was and most people would have no idea that you just had surgery, you are still swollen. This swelling in the eyelid platform and affect the crease height and how the eyelid folds. You need much more time to know precisely how this fold will behave once the eyelid has healed. This will take at least 4 to 6 months. Some would reasonably argue 12 months. However, once you get 4 to 6 months out, things that still persist that are not satisfactory may very well need surgical revision to resolve. Therefore, patience is in order here. Try not to drive your surgeon insane over this. If you do, they might actually intervene when absolutely nothing is needed and I have seen many cases where early intervention into a small issue actually caused a much bigger problem. So tell your family and friends to relax and let you heal.

CONTACT NOW Answer: You are still too swollen to tell Double eyelid surgery swells way more than a regular blepharoplasty. The reason for this is that the dissection is much more invasive at the muscle and septum level and more lymphatics are disrupted. A lot will change with the swelling going down, but your surgeon may want to revise the outer corner just a little bit once everything has settled down (6 months). Hang in there for now! Good luck

Answer: Double Eyelid Surgery - Asian Blepharoplasty I would never worry about your final surgical result so soon after the procedure. Overall, it looks like you are healing very well and should have an excellent result. After a few months, you and your surgeon can be more critical of the outcome. Keep up the good work!

Answer: Asian blepharoplasty at this point, you are not looking at your final result. Please give yourself time to heal. If this issue persists, have your eyelids evaluated by your surgeon at the next postop visit.
