Best permanent milia treatment?

Hello, I have had Milia since birth, am now 25. It never resolves itself. I've been given pills, exfoliations by dermatologists and creams growing up, but have resorted to just removing them myself with a small pick.

It has worked for a month, however if I don't remove them, they will stay there and just get bigger over the years. I have it on and around my eyes and cheeks. Any help would be appreciated!

A: milia treatment

Benjamin Barankin, MD

Milia, small white cysts commonly found around the eyes are common, and some people are more prone to them (especially those with dry skin). After extracting the cysts, prevention is best achieved using a topical vitamin a acid or tretinoin which helps exfoliate the skin and prevents the cysts from forming.
